The studio that small businesses recommend, quietly, for years.
Quietwork is a Singapore AI studio, intentionally small. We build automation systems for small, busy businesses across logistics, professional services, and F&B. This page tells you who we are, why we exist, and what we believe about doing this work well.

An operator, not a consultant.
Quietwork is led by Thomas, a Singapore-based founder who's spent his career building the operational systems that let small companies grow without breaking.
Most recently, Thomas was COO of Atenta Pte Ltd, a regional social listening and data analytics company. The work was hands-on: he designed and built the internal systems that let the firm scale across the region — delivery operations, analyst workflows, reporting infrastructure, the lot. From early on he started folding AI into those workflows, not because it was fashionable, but because the alternative was hiring people to do work the machines were already better at — and accuracy went up at the same time as headcount stopped rising.
Before Atenta, Thomas led growth for early-stage portfolio companies at Mercatus Capital, working alongside founders trying to move from pitch deck to working business. The pattern repeated everywhere: the founders who shipped were the ones who learned to take admin off their plates without hiring overhead. The ones who didn't, drowned in their own coordination.
Most AI consulting today is built for the enterprise buyer — the procurement officer, the transformation committee, the multi-stakeholder pitch. None of that works for a 6-person F&B operator at 11pm reconciling receipts on a kitchen counter. Quietwork is built for that operator.
Why a studio, not an agency.
The agency model rewards scale. More clients, more retainers, more upsells. The problem is that scale is the enemy of attention — and attention is what small businesses pay you for.
Quietwork is structured as a studio. We cap engagements at three concurrent. We price every Build fixed. We refuse retainers we haven't earned. The economics are tighter than an agency's, but the alignment with the client is much cleaner — and the work is far better as a result.
We are not trying to scale into a 50-person agency. We are trying to be the studio that small Singapore businesses recommend to each other, quietly, for years.
Four principles, no exceptions.
The best automation doesn't announce itself.
If we build it well, your team forgets it exists. The reconciliation that used to take three hours just... doesn't anymore. Nobody throws a celebration. That's the goal.
Fixed prices over hourly billing.
Hourly billing punishes efficiency and rewards uncertainty. We price every Build to a fixed scope, fixed number. If it takes us longer, that's our problem to solve, not yours.
Measurable, in writing, within 90 days.
Every Build comes with a written success metric agreed before we start. We measure it monthly. If the math isn't paying back, we keep working until it is. No exceptions, no excuses.
You own the system. Always.
Code, prompts, integrations, documentation — handed over in full at the end of every Build. No vendor lock-in. No 'we keep the IP.' You can switch us out tomorrow and your system keeps running.
How we actually work.
Quietwork is run as a small, focused practice. Thomas leads every engagement personally — the listening, the diagnosis, the build, the handover. Specialist collaborators (engineering, design, domain experts) come in for specific phases when the work demands it, never as a permanent overhead.
This means three things: every client gets real senior attention; engagements are paced sustainably (no thrash, no all-nighters, no fragile dependencies); and the studio stays in the work, not in management.
We cap concurrent engagements at three. We typically have a 2-4 week waitlist for new Walkthroughs. If you reach out, expect a real human reply within a day — usually from Thomas, sometimes from a collaborator if he's mid-build.
A short founder note.
"I started this studio because I kept hearing the same thing from the small business owners I'd worked with for years: they didn't need AI strategy. They didn't need transformation. They needed someone to just build the thing that quietly takes the work off their plate."
"The big consultancies wouldn't touch them. The freelancers shipped one-offs that broke. The AI agencies wanted six-figure retainers for things they didn't need. Quietwork exists in the gap in the middle — small, fixed-price, productized, hands-on. The way you'd want a small business to build for another small business."
"If that sounds like what you've been looking for, write to me. I read every email."
